Turkey Day

note: these words came from Bree herself

There was a party at Lola Sing's house for Thanksgiving and for Jared's birthday. Jared had 2 birthday cakes. One was chocolate and the other one was cheesecake. I didn't eat cake.

Jared told funny jokes. Everyone was laughing because some of them didn't make sense.

We had a jello eating contest. Jared won. There was a game when people had to guess who the kids were trying to act out. They split people into 2 groups. Our group won.

I was gonna do my turkey dance, but i didn't do it.

Mommy is currently reading....

MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA by Arthur Golden

So much detail in this book, just simply amazing...

Soon to be a feature film...

Coming soon to a theater near you...

When we see the word "geisha", we only think of one thing - prostitute. However, this book will give you a different meaning of the word geisha. It describes the different sacrifices you have to make to be one... that you have to be a slave first before you can be a geisha... and the oh so many "butil ng kanin" that you have to eat to reach the much coveted title of a geisha. And they start at an early age... the "slavery" period starts at age 9.

It's a definite must read.

A? Ok.

Yesterday, we received Sabrina's report card. As expected, she got all A's. In Computer, she got an A+. Then an A- in Social Studies. Then A for all other subjects (Science, Math, Language, Reading, Religion, Art, Music, PE).

EXCEPT (isang malaking EXCEPT)..... "Behavior" where she got a B+. Ok, ok, B+ is still very good. Considering it's not really a subject. But Clay and I were laughing. Of course Bree would not get an A in Behavior. Sinong linoloko namin?

Now comes the hard part... trying to maintain this straight A record on all her real subjects. Hopefully, Bree would be more encouraged and motivated to do better, much better. Maybe this time we'll get an A in Behavior. Kahit A- lang.

Since she got one non-A grade (kahit na ba Behavior lang), she knows she's gonna get a half-inch haircut.
